In the wake of Hurricane Beryl, communities across Precinct 4 have been hit hard, and hundreds of thousands of people are still without power. During the last three days, Commissioner Lesley Briones and the Precinct 4 team served 5,000 families at our two distribution sites. Because many of our neighbors are still facing the impacts of the storm, we are reaching out to get your help to ensure that food, fresh produce, and water reach those in need.

This Saturday (tomorrow, July 13) and Monday (July 15), we will active distribution sites at the following locations:

• Saturday, July 13 from 8-10 a.m. at Radack Community Center, 18650 Clay Rd, Houston, TX 77084

• Monday, July 15 from 8-10 a.m. at Bayland Community Center, 6400 Bissonnet St, Houston, TX 77074

We need your help to make sure we can serve as many people as possible! Can you join us? To volunteer, please sign up using this registration link.

Each shift is 4 hours and will take place outside. We will have shade tents, water, and snack on hand. Volunteers should be able to lift at least 10 pounds, and we recommend wearing athletic clothing and closed-toed shoes and dressing appropriately for the heat.

Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email the afternoon/evening before. This email will include logistics such as parking information, day-of expectations, and other relevant information.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and willingness to help our community during this challenging time.
