Get Involved

Precinct 4 offers a variety of opportunities for scouts of all ages to participate in badge completion activities, scout projects, and other outdoor education and recreation programs.
Contact the Precinct 4 Parks Department at 281-353-8100 or [email protected] to learn more about Scout opportunities.

Badge Earning Opportunities

Many regularly scheduled Precinct 4 programs allow Scouts to achieve requirements for merit badges. A typical staff-led nature walk could cover a multitude of topics, including native trees, reptiles and amphibians, birds, and more!

In addition to nature hikes, Precinct 4 offers topic-specific programs as well. Some of the most popular programs and activities attended by Scouts include archery, fishing, water ecology, and junior canoe training. While these free programs are open to the general public, our certified instructors ensure that Scout qualifications are met.

Service Projects

Scout groups can earn service project hours through Precinct 4’s park events, cleanup activities, tree plantings, and habitat enhancement.
Previous Scout groups have cleared and built natural surface trails and constructed and installed wooden benches, trash can holders, kiosks, bird houses, and bat boxes in Precinct 4 area parks.
