Bear Creek Pioneers Park is a key part of the flood control system. Due to Derecho, Beryl, and record rain, sections of the park are still flooded and closed for your safety. We're hoping to reopen soon, weather permitting.
Bear Creek Pioneers Park is 2,154.6 acres in size, and offers over 2 miles of trails. Amenities include an 18 baseball/softball fields, benches, six exercise stations, a picnic area, 14 playgrounds, seven reservable pavilions, Scout camping, 26 soccer fields, three tennis courts, horseshoe courts, two fire pits, an aviary and wildlife habitat, an equestrian trail, 16 restrooms, and two pickleball courts. The park is also home to the Harris County War Memorial, which was built in 1985 to honor known Harris County residents who lost their lives in World War I and subsequent wars. Scout reservations are available at this park.
