In a commitment to alleviating flooding, closing critical connectivity gaps, improving access to parks, and increasing public safety, Commissioner Lesley Briones is launching her second Call 4 Projects as part of the Harris County Precinct 4 Places 4 People program.

Through the Places 4 People program, Harris County Precinct 4 partners with local organizations to deliver progress in the form of improved, resilient infrastructure across the Precinct. 

Entities eligible to apply include cities, school districts, Municipal Utility Districts (MUDs), Tax Increment Reinvestment Zones (TIRZs), Municipal Management Districts (MMDs), Public Transit Agencies, Economic Development Corporations (EDCs), Housing Authorities, and other local government corporations. Non-profit organizations are also eligible to apply as co-applicants with other eligible area agencies.

Organizations can apply to the Places 4 People program for funding for study, conceptual and final design, right-of-way acquisition, and construction of capital and maintenance projects. Applications can be submitted online by June 28, 2024.
