Spring break doesn’t have to mean expensive tickets or complicated plans. Precinct 4 offers easy, drop-in fun, with hands-on activities, outdoor games, day trips, and family-friendly hangouts happening from Hockley to Gulfton.

Grandkids Spring Break: Superhero Bingo

A History of the World in 100 Objects, Abridged

Discover how iconic objects reveal the story of global civilization! The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston pairs selections from the British Museum series with works from its own encyclopedic collection to show their worldwide significance.

Spring Break Day Trip to John Paul Landing Environmental Education Center

Departing from Bayland CC and Tracy Gee CC

Wednesday, March 11 | 8:15 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Explore nature with a day trip to the John Paul Landing Environmental Education Center. Children 5-13 years of age can fish for local fish and crawfish while learning about aquatic ecosystems. A parent must accompany their child, and children must bring their own lunch. Departure from Bayland and Tracy Gee Community Centers.

Spring Break Farm Tours

Kleb Woods Nature Preserve and Center

Wednesday, March 11 | 2 – 4 p.m. & Friday, March 13 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Look back in time with a Precinct 4 Naturalist and visit the original 1896 Kleb house to learn about the rich history of Kleb Woods and what life was like for the Kleb family in the early 1900s.

Just Keep Swimming: Movie and Craft Party

Splash into Hockley Community Center to watch an ocean-themed movie and dive into sea-themed crafts with the team. All materials will be provided.

Enjoy a family-friendly film, relax with friends, and make it a cozy afternoon at the community center with Weekley staff. Popcorn will be provided.

Spring Break Day Trip to Peckham

Departing from Bayland and Freed Community Centers

Friday, March 13 | 11:45 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Splash and play on a fun-filled spring break day trip! Children will swim and cool off in the pool under supervised play. Enjoy lively outdoor games that celebrate the season and encourage movement and laughter in a safe, welcoming environment. This day trip is for children 5 - 13 years of age. A parent must accompany their child, and children must bring their own lunch. Departure from Bayland Center and Freed Community Center.
