Commissioner Lesley Briones Launches Summer Break Sidewalks 4 Precinct 4

06 May, 26

Commissioner Lesley Briones announced the Summer Break phase of Sidewalks 4 Precinct 4, an initiative to create safe pathways to schools, parks, and neighborhood hubs on Tuesday, May 5.

In the Cinco Ranch area, residents must walk or bike through parking lots to navigate around the neighborhood leading to four pedestrians being seriously injured.

While students are on break, crews will build 10 more miles of new sidewalks, including 4.25 miles along South Mason Road. This will create safer connections from 1-10 to the Fort Bend County line, to over 900 businesses, 3 schools, and 119 medical offices.

Public safety is Commissioner Briones’ top priority. As a mother of 3 children and a former teacher, she is committed to ensuring families have safer paths to travel in their community.
