Commissioner Lesley Briones Unveils New Community Mural and Pitner Pocket Park Improvements

Commissioner Lesley Briones hosted a community celebration to unveil a new mural and other community-driven improvements at Pitner Park in Spring Branch.

Inspired by the spirit of the immigrant experience, the mural designed by artist David Maldonado, celebrates the neighborhood’s culture, diversity, and sense of belonging. Commissioner Briones also highlighted park upgrades — including a more accessible walking trail, new fencing, and cleanup efforts — and other planned enhancements for surrounding Inner Northwest neighborhoods.

Commissioner Briones is committed to advancing public safety by supporting safer streets, parks, trails, and green spaces that bring people together.

These efforts are part of the All in 4 Inner Northwest Community Plan, shaped by deep community engagement to create strengthen neighborhood quality of life.
