Spanning from Alief and Gulfton to Brays Oaks, Cypress, Tomball, and Katy, residents from across Latin America call Precinct 4 home. Every Hispanic Heritage Month, Precinct 4 highlights the rich cultures and endless contributions of Hispanics and Latinos throughout our region and beyond.

This month, join Precinct 4 as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with events throughout our community centers.

Hispanic Heritage Celebration at Hockley Community Center

  • Friday, September 19 | 11 a.m. 2 p.m.

  • Honor Hispanic heritage through vibrant music, dance, food, and highlights of legendary Hispanic icons.

Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration at Radack Community Center

  • Friday, September 19 | Noon – 2 p.m.

  • Enjoy a day filled with music, dance, and delicious food. Connect and learn as we honor Hispanic heritage together!

Houston Bird Week Kick-off Party at Burnett Bayland Park

  • Saturday, September 20 | 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • Celebrate the start of Houston Bird Week and honor Hispanic Heritage Month during Latino Conservation Week with local community partners through nature games, crafts, dance performances, and much more. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors to this free and memorable event.

Hispanic Heritage: Loteria at Radack Community Center

  • Monday, September 22 | 12:30 p.m. 2 p.m.

  • Play the fun and family-friendly game of Loteria, a traditional Mexican bingo-style game. Learn the rules, practice some Spanish, and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of games.

Hispanic Heritage Luncheon at Weekley Community Center

  • Tuesday, September 23 | Noon – 2 p.m.

  • Join us for a delicious celebration of Hispanic culture and cuisine at just $12 per person. Indulge in mouthwatering tacos, refreshing beverages, and festive music. Registration is required.

Hispanic Heritage: Spanish Club at Radack Community Center

  • Tuesday, September 23 | 10 – 11 a.m.

  • Fluent and non-fluent speakers:, join Radack staff to practice conversations in Spanish. Perfect for those wanting to learn or improve their Spanish. Spanish Club is a recurring series at Radack. If you’re unable to attend this event, click here to explore more dates.

Kids Hispanic Heritage Craft at Hockley Community Center

  • Tuesday, September 23 | 4:30 p.m. 5:30 p.m.

  • Create a variety of crafts inspired by Hispanic traditions. This craft is best for young children. All materials will be provided.

Hispanic Heritage Month 3D Keychain Workshop at Freed Community Center

  • Thursday, September 25 | 5 6 p.m.

  • Honor Hispanic Heritage Month by creating a 3D keychain inspired by Latin American culture.

Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration at Tracy Gee Community Center

  • Friday, September 26 | 6 – 8 p.m.

  • Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Tracy Gee with loteria, followed by a vibrant dance performance from Raices del Peru. Raices del Peru is a non-profit cultural association that aims to spread Peruvian culture and dance. The dance performance will begin at 7 pm. Refreshments will be provided.

Hispanic Heritage Month Festival at Bayland Community Center

  • Saturday, September 27 | Noon – 4 p.m.

  • Join Precinct 4 at its third annual Hispanic Heritage Festival to celebrate Latino culture and its profound influence on our community. The festival will feature live Batala drum performances and a workshop, traditional Loteria, mariachi music, a variety of Hispanic food trucks, a Precinct 4 Town Hall from 12 to 1 p.m., and much more!
