Across Harris County, where more than one in five residents and 180,000 children lack health insurance, thousands of families face each day unsure where they’ll turn when care is needed.
Commissioner Lesley Briones believes deeply in connecting all people with the health services they need to thrive. Since 2023, she has worked alongside public and private partners to bring health services directly to community members who need them most.
On September 8, in partnership with Memorial Hermann, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and the March of Dimes, Bayland Community Center will begin hosting a new health service for women and mothers. The Mom & Baby Mobile Health Center will be available at the center every Monday to provide free well-woman exams, health screenings, pre- and postnatal care, and more to underserved populations in Harris County.
This service will soon be one of many offered throughout Precinct 4’s community centers. Read more for a non-exhaustive list of health services throughout the Precinct.
