The Texas heat may still be lingering, but fall is officially here — and Precinct 4 is hosting activities and events all month long to celebrate. From costume contests and crafts to festivals and karaoke, these activities are designed for the entire family to enjoy.
Halloween Costume and Karaoke Party
- Radack Community Center
- Friday, October 10 | Noon – 2:30 p.m.
Dress in your best costume and come sing your heart out. Bring a plate of finger foods to share, and enjoy refreshments provided by staff.
Children’s Craft: Halloween Spookyness
- Radack Community Center
- Saturday, October 11 | 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Create a friendly ghost puppet and creepy pumpkin art to get in the spirit of Halloween. All materials are provided.
Hauntingly Simple Halloween Treats
- Hockley Community Center
- Monday, October 13 | 10 – 11 a.m.
Engage in a hands-on cooking class and cook up some spooky Halloween-themed treats. All materials are provided.
Creepy Carrot Story and Craft Hour

Slither, crawl, or scurry in for a not-so-scary story and fun craft. Stick around for an engaging Halloween-themed challenge inspired by the book.
A Closer Look at Nature: Bats, Mysteries of the Night

Learn about the world’s only flying mammals — from how they navigate at night to the many benefits they provide.
Boo-tiful Senior Potluck Bash
- Hockley Community Center
- Friday, October 17 | 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Play a game of bridge or dominoes, participate in a costume contest, and enjoy festive fall games. Bring a dish to share, and enjoy refreshments provided by staff. This activity is for seniors.
Fall Festival

- Saturday, October 25 | 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Put on your best costume as we celebrate the fall season. Come enjoy hayrides, a pumpkin patch, face painting, and delicious food — there is something for all ages to enjoy.
Horror Movie Trivia

Show off your movie buff knowledge — featuring questions about classic and new horror films.
Container Garden Class

- Wednesday, October 29 | 11 a.m. – Noon
Learn how to grow vegetables and ornamentals in small spaces with Texas Master Gardener, Teresa See. All materials are free and provided.
Ghoulish Games and I Scream Scoop-Tacular
- Glazier Senior Education Center
- Thursday, October 30 | Noon – 2:30 p.m.
Come dressed in your best costume and enjoy an afternoon full of ghoulish games, a costume contest, and ice cream.
3D Sugar Skulls STEAM Craft
- Burnett Bayland Community Center
- Friday, October 31 | 5 – 6 p.m.
Sculpt your own 3D sugar skull using colorful paper and other fun decorations. All materials are free and provided.
