All Treats: 9 Events to Get into the Halloween Spirit in Precinct 4

October has begun and the countdown to Halloween is on.

Whether you want to trick-or-treat, compete in a costume contest, or come to a potluck, Precinct 4 is here to ensure you have a ghoulishly good time. So, grab your costume, some treats, and your family and visit one of the events below to celebrate Halloween with your community.

Halloween Party, Karaoke, and Potluck at Steve Radack Community Center

    • 10/9/24 | 11:30 AM - 3:00 PM

    • Warm up your voice and bring your favorite dish for an afternoon of food, fun, and karaoke. Dress like your favorite singer and sing along to your favorite hits.

Movie Series “Halloween Spirit” Themed at Tracy Gee Community Center

    • 10/10/24 | 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

    • Bring a friend and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a free Halloween movie. Visit the center or call 832-927-1880 for movie details.

Kids Craft: Boo-tiful Halloween Masks at Bayland Community Center

    • 10/11/24 | 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

    • Some of the best Halloween costumes are homemade. Bring your kids and join our Bayland staff members to create the perfect mask for trick-or-treating. We will provide all supplies.

Spooky Snacks at Steve Radack Community Center

    • 10/14/24 | 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

    • Join Jasmine Carey from Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and learn how to make fun, spooky treats that are perfect for Halloween. All supplies will be provided, and registration is required.

Trick-or-Treat Gathering at Tracy Gee Community Center

    • 10/17/24 | 4 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

    • Wear your Halloween costume and bring a bag for a trick-or-treat party. We will have crafts, potion-making, spooky sensory bins, Halloween games, a costume contest, snacks, and refreshments.

Spooky Halloween Games & Covered Dish Luncheon at Hockley Community Center

    • 10/18/24 | 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

    • Bring a dish and play a fun game of bridge with center members. If bridge isn’t your game, we will also have '42' Dominoes, Mexican Train Dominoes, canasta, and board games. Make sure you wear your best costume, so you have a shot at winning the prize for best dressed.

Alief Listening Tour at the Alief Neighborhood Center

    • 10/19/24 | 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

    • Join Commissioner Briones as she shares updates about how Precinct 4 is continuing to invest in Alief. We will reveal the Alief ISD bus wrap winner and the 12 students chosen to have their artwork inspire sculptures and murals across Alief. Bring your whole family as the event will also include a resource fair and a trunk or treat.

Happy Halloween Potluck at Jim & JoAnn Fonteno Senior Education Center

    • 10/31/24 | 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

    • Bring your favorite shareable dish and wear your best costume because this potluck doubles as a costume contest. The best dressed attendee wins a prize.

Nightmare at Glazier Ghoul-luck and Boogie at Thomas A. Glazier Senior Education Center

    • 10/31/24 | 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.

    • Join us for a Halloween-themed potluck where you can bring your favorite dishes to share. Dress in your best Halloween costume and prepare to hit the dance floor to groove to a hauntingly good playlist!
